With support from Fastenaktion – Action de Carême – Azione Quaresimale, Acts for Change Trust is collaborating with the Kenya Platform for Climate Governance (KPCG), Socially Organized Educative Team (SOET), Kimaeti Farmers Association, and the Bungoma CSO Network in an initiative aimed at enhancing the understanding of agroecology, carbon project safeguards, and climate finance among smallholder farmers and CSOs, under the theme “Agroecology as a Pathway to Climate Resilience and Sustainable Agriculture.”

This initiative will among other things build the capacity of grassroots organisations and smallholders to participate in enhancing accountability and access to climate financing from programmes such as Financing Locally-Led Climate Action (FLLoCA).

In her presentation, our agro ecology thematic expert MIRIAM KISILU underscored the critical role of inclusivity in climate action, calling for community-driven safeguards and gender-responsive approaches. She stressed that meaningful participation of women, youth, and marginalized groups is essential to ensure equitable benefits and long-term resilience in agro ecological initiatives.
