We drive impact through creative, evidence-based solutions in sustainable agriculture, climate resilience, and youth and women empowerment. We partner closely with target communities, empowering them to thrive. Our core speciality includes:

Program Coordination

We work hand in hand with partner organizations and local teams to co-create strategies that respond to the unique realities of rural communities. Through tailored project accompaniment and coaching, we ensure that implementation delivers on both outputs and impact.

Training for Transformation course:

Our training programs build grassroots leadership for transformation, equipping development practitioners, facilitators, and community resource persons with the knowledge and tools to mobilize and empower their communities.

Our Key Training Areas:

  1. Training for Transformation (TfT):
    A foundational course for development workers that strengthens capacity in participatory methodologies and social transformation.

Over 200 community extension agents trained to date.

Agroecology for Resilience:

Our practical agroecology programs include:

Building economic resilience:

Solidarity groups practicing saving and credit approach. Currently the project has over 160 solidarity groups practicing the saving and credit approach. This saving approach is based on common values with solidarity at its care and offers a safety net during critical periods/establishes an insurance system which members fall back to incase of basic needs.

Conflict Transformation and Natural Resources:

We focus on building capacities of grazing committees on sustainable rangeland management, especially in regions prone to conflict over shared natural resources such as pasture and water. Our interventions are active in Baringo, Laikipia, and Kajiado Counties, fostering local peace structures and inclusive dialogue.

Climate Action & Carbon Finance

Acts for Change Trust is advancing climate resilience and green livelihoods through:

  • Collaboration with Caritas Kitui and Fastenaktion on a Carbon Credit Project involving clean cookstove adoption. This initiative has created green jobs, improved household health, and cut down carbon emissions.
  • Partnership with Pan African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA) to champion climate justice, engage in Financing Locally-Led Climate Action (FLOCCA), and support the implementation of Kenya’s National Strategy on Agroecology.

Disaster Risk Reduction:

We promote nature-based solutions to enhance community resilience in the face of climate change and environmental shocks. Our work includes:
